We are currently seeking an experienced and business-oriented Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of two Turkish entities operating in Freight Forwarding and Trucking.

The role is expected to ensure financial transparency, strengthen financial discipline, support business decision-making, and act as a strategic finance partner to local and group management.

Job Description

Position: Chief Financial Officer

Reporting to: AZURITE CFO

Location: Istanbul

Areas of responsibility:

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Lead the finance function of two Turkish entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local requirements and group reporting standards.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment of revenue, costs, accruals, intercompany transactions, and financial obligations.
  • Provide regular financial analysis, management reports, and business insights to local and group management.

Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Planning

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecast updates for both entities.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget, identify variances, and provide clear explanations and corrective action proposals.
  • Support business planning, investment decisions, cost optimization initiatives, and strategic projects through financial modelling and analysis.
  • Ensure alignment of local financial plans with group objectives and targets.

Treasury and Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow planning, liquidity control, and working capital efficiency.
  • Oversee banking relationships, payment processes, financing matters, and cash collection follow-up.
  • Monitor receivables, payables, payment terms, and credit exposure.
  • Ensure timely escalation of cash flow risks and propose mitigation actions.

Audit and Risk Management

  • Lead preparation for internal and external audits and act as the main finance contact during audit processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Identify financial, tax, compliance, and operational risks and propose mitigation measures.
  • Strengthen financial discipline and control environment across both entities.

Cost Control and Profitability Management

  • Drive cost control, margin analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor profitability by business line, project, customer, and key operational areas.
  • Support management in improving financial performance, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.
  • Follow up commercial deal terms from a finance perspective, including profitability, payment terms, credit exposure, and contractual financial obligations.

What do we expect

  • 10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling or audit, including at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Hands-on finance experience in Türkiye is a mandatory requirement. Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance or Senior Finance Manager in an international company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field; professional certification will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Turkish accounting, tax, statutory reporting, payroll-related financial obligations and financial regulations.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, group reporting, internal controls and audit coordination.
  • Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, transportation or other service-based industries will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems, CIBER is a must, and advanced Excel.
  • Turkish fluency and English proficiency at B2 level or higher; Russian language skills will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
